Poco F6 Pro Review – GSMArena.com Tests

Introduction

Poco has always strived to provide great value to its users. The F6 Pro is no exception. Since it’s nicknamed “Pro”, it only makes sense that it has a slightly higher market and spec target. Actually just like the Poco F5 Pro to that end, the F6 Pro is something of a ‘flagship’ in Poco’s lineup. To deliver on value, some concessions have been made, such as using last year’s Qualcomm chip instead of the latest, which means it can’t quite match the “traditional” range of 2024 flagships. Still, it’s a very premium upper mid-range or even a ‘flagship killer’ that comes with an attractive price tag and very few practical compromises.

Poco F6 Pro review

As we mentioned, the Poco F6 Pro rocks last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. While it may not be the current cream of the crop, it’s still an incredibly powerful chip that will chew through any task with ease.

And it’s not just the chipset that shines on the Poco F6 Pro’s spec sheet. The phone also has a pretty awesome all-round 6.67-inch, 120Hz, AMOLED display with a 3200 x 1440 pixel resolution, 12-bit color depth, 3840Hz PWD dimming, and an advertised astonishing peak brightness of 4,000 nits.

The camera setup on the Poco F6 Pro is no slouch either. Since last year’s model, the main camera has been replaced by a 50MP unit that is both larger and brighter and again offers OIS. You get an 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro in addition to the main camera and a 16MP selfie.

We also can’t fail to mention some other interesting parts of the Poco F6 Pro, such as the 120W HyperCharge support for fast charging on the 5,000 mAh battery, which is only made more enjoyable by the fact that you have the charger in the box gets. . You also get stereo speakers, IR blaster and NFC, to name a few things.

Unpack

The F6 Pro comes in a fairly standard two-piece cardboard box. It is all black with yellow lettering, in keeping with the brand’s traditional color scheme. The box is made of cardboard, as are the internal holders, including the one that holds the phone. We only saw a single piece of plastic in the packaging that contained the phone itself. Other than that, top marks for being eco-friendly.

Poco F6 Pro review

You get a very rich accessory package with the Poco F6 Pro. It includes a 120W HyperCharge charger and an accompanying proprietary USB Type-A to Type-C cable. You need to keep track of both if you want to charge the phone at full speed. Also in the box is a very nice, sturdy, fairly thick, non-transparent black TPU case. Honestly, we couldn’t ask for anything more.
